How it works
Four things happen every time your team asks Cogniveil to do a piece of work. Each one exists to answer a question a reviewer, an auditor, or a regulator will eventually ask.

1. Your documents stay where they are
We connect to your documents where they already live: your document stores, your data lake, your line-of-business systems. Nothing is copied out to a third party. Access follows your own permissions, so a person can never receive an answer built on a document they are not entitled to see.

2. When someone asks, the system finds the passages that actually answer it
Not the file with the closest name. The passages, found by what they say. Cogniveil searches by exact terms and by meaning at the same time, then re-orders the candidates so the most relevant passages come first.
In regulated work the precise clause matters, and so does the paraphrase of it buried in a policy. Both are found.

3. The answer is built only from those passages
Every sentence in the output is tied back to a passage that supports it. Anything the system cannot tie back, it does not say. When it cannot ground a claim in the approved sources, it says so instead of guessing.
Each citation opens the source document at the exact page, with the supporting passage highlighted.
